Hi there. I’m Joyanne and I’m so glad you’ve stopped by. I am an Edmonton-based teacher-who-sings (thanks Austin Kleon). I have also worked as an actor, director, choral director, and voice coach in Edmonton, Dublin, and Ottawa. I graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree in Drama from the University of Alberta and hold ARCT Performers and Teachers diplomas in Speech Arts and Drama from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Most recently, I graduated with a BEd Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Alberta and have spent the last few years teaching English Language Arts, Religious Studies, and Psychology courses at a high school outside Edmonton.

Working with people has always been my joy, whether it be in the theatre or education worlds, specifically the way we use our voices. From vocal health to effective communication, I strive to help those whose paths cross with mine understand they have all the tools available to them to ensure those they meet perceive them as confident, clear, empathic human beings.

If you’re looking for someone who can guide you through learning more about your voice and build up your confidence in performance or presentation, you’ve come to the right place! I am passionate about people and their ability to be the best version of themselves, whether they’re looking to be a musical/spoken artist or just want to have the confidence to stand in front of their colleagues and deliver that epic presentation. Interviews, auditions, one-off projects: I can help you with that; I've definitely been through my share of those! For a full list of classes and disciplines, click here. To check out some of my past projects, check out the Media page. For cantoring and voice recording services, head over to the Voice Work page. For all other inquiries, go to the Contact page and get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you. All the best and stay classy!
