Keep Calm and Move Back to Alberta

Yes, my fine ladies and gentlemen, it's true. After being in Ottawa for two years the time has finally come to pack up and go back home.

I know, Mr. Squirrel, I know... I know I've had an absolutely amazing time cultivating relationships with people in the musical theatre and Ukrainian Catholic communities, facets of my life that are both so important to me. I know I've made great contacts within my professional field and had brilliant opportunities to grow as a performer, teacher, and coach. I know you think bagged milk is da bomb! But when I realized that no amount of love I have for Ottawa could trump the need to be back home with family, my support system, I had to give in to that little voice in the back of my head prompting me back to Edmonton. I mean, this was so NOT the plan, I'll give you that, Mr. Squirrel, but I suppose plans change whether we want them to or not, and though I was very unsure of that little voice in the beginning, I am now convinced that this is the right thing I need to be doing right now.

That of course begs the question: what now? Well, Mr. Squirrel, let me tell you! It so happens that I've agreed to teach at various different centres in the Edmonton area, and have a few musical projects stewing in the background. I haven't quite signed my contracts yet so I can't tell you exactly where I'll be, but I can say that you'll probably find me teaching voice in Sherwood Park, speech arts and drama in Edmonton, and some acting down in Beaumont. Of course, I also plan to continue working on my craft as a performer and will continue looking for any opportunity I can to share my voice and dramatic nature with others. Finally, I am looking forward to continuing my professional development in all things voice related and am currently looking out for programs or workshops that will further my studies in vocal health.

It's going to be a big transition, I know, Mr. Squirrel, and thank you so much for looking out for me. But you know, if you want, you could simply...
